Mitchell Moore is proudly serving his fifth year as Choir Director at Farragut High School in Knoxville, TN. Originally from Tifton, Georgia, he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Georgia College and State University in 2015. He served as Director of Choral Activities for three years at Howard High School (Macon, Ga) where he led a program of 210 singers, directed the annual musical, and served as Department Chair.
In 2020, Mitchell graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. While at UT, he conducted the UT Women’s Chorale, VOLume a cappella group, and served as graduate teaching assistant for the Choral Area. Choirs under his direction have consistently scored top marks at regional and state performance assessments, placed in national choral competitions, performed world-premieres of newly composed works, and performed at Carnegie Hall and the Tennessee Music Educators Association Conference.
